GREENLION at the Joint EC / European Green Cars Initiative Workshop 2013

"Electric Vehicle Batteries: Moving from Research Towards Innovation"

GREENLION was invited to present the the project at this workshop jointly organized by the European Commission and the European Technology Platforms involved in the European Green Cars Initiative PPP, EPoSS and ERTRAC, to discuss current European activities and policies for bridging the gap between research and innovation in the domain of batteries for the electric vehicle.

The results of collaborative research projects on batteries funded under the European Green Cars Initiative as well as relevant attempts for the implementation of battery production in Europe were reviewed. In this context European activities and policies to foster innovation shall be considered. The aim was to provide recommendations on research and innovation support activities in the framework of the European Green Vehicles Initiative PPP of Horizon 2020.

The invited experts included the coordinators of European collaborative research projects on batteries, leaders of major pilot activities for battery manufacturing, representatives of European companies from the field of energy storage cell and battery technology as well as research institutions and all involved Directorates General of the European Commission. Proceedings with papers by speakers and poster presenters at this workshop will be published and a report will be made available to the community after the workshop.

Oscar Miguel, as coordinator of GREENLION, attended this event with a poster summarizing the project goals and current status, presenting the results achieved up to month 18 of the project.
